About Me

Hello friends!

Welcome to my blog.

I am Salmina. Just your average girl, cooking and baking through life.

I am a mommy to three beautiful kids, born and raised in Pakistan but living in Australia and a massive food lover.

For those of our amazing followers who have been around since 2015, when this blog first was started, might remember me as Beenish’s second daughter.

Back in 2015, my elder sister Sabeeka, my Mum Beenish and I started this family food blog as a way of expressing our combined love for good food and bringing people together through it.
It was a great team effort but unfortunately as we all lived in three different countries (Australia, USA and Pakistan) and also for being at different stages of life and personal commitments we couldn’t keep it going.

Fast forward to 2020, I decided to get it up and going once again.

I started cooking and baking around 8 years ago when I got married and moved to Australia. My husband and kids have been my number 1 supporters throughout my food journey. They have encouraged, challenged and supported me through all the trial, errors and meltdowns along the way.
Like most others, I have failed many times during the process of learning to cook, I have burned my cakes, added to much salt and spice to curries, made a mess but at the same time felt immense happiness and had tears of joy when something turned out perfect. My love for food has grown through all of this.

My hopes for this blog are to share my food journey with all my friends. Learning, experimenting, exploring and experiencing the joys of cooking and baking together.

I will be sharing things from my kitchen to yours. This blog will have Pakistani Cuisine, Continental, Desserts, Bakes, Party food, kids friendly food ideas, Desi meethay and what not.

Special thanks to my elder sister Sabeeka, for being the Graphic Designer and advisor for this page.

She liked the Gulab Jaman especially. But I mistakenly added more sugar, still it was okay and she loved it. 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot, all my kids suggested extremely annoying names (They tried to add the word grandma/nanee to each and every one) but I’m glad that we all voted in favor of this one:)
